Beaver Creek Sculling – Become A Sponsor

Support Youth Rowing In Central Virginia

What if we told you that a rowing team located right here in Central Virginia brings home national medals?  Twelve years ago, Myriam Pitts, a teacher at Western Albemarle High School, set out to establish a team that has grown to include over 50 dedicated athletes who place at the state and national level with many going on to row in college.  Known in the rowing community as the little club that could, this 100% self-funded and volunteer-driven organization continues to train exceptional athletes, right here in Crozet at the Beaver Creek Reservoir.

Receiving no funding from the county or the school, Beaver Creek Sculling recently launched a capital campaign to support the program for the next 3-5 years.  To date, $60,000 has been raised from family and alumni, which has enabled the program to begin acquiring critically needed equipment. We are seeking additional funding from corporate and community donors to support:  scholarships, new boats, coaching launch and electric motor, boat trailer, oars, team tent, and facility improvements.
